ExtraLunchMoney

I’ve had a Seller account (username Hellen Roxx) on ExtraLunchMoney since November 2011.

I’m currently the #4 Most Reviewed model on the site, with 633 positive reviews. I’m also listed in the Premium section, which is a category of models who have reached a certain level of sales.

At some point I’d like to write up a how-to guide for ExtraLunchMoney, detailing the ins and outs of the site and how to make the most of your profile there.  Today, however, I have something else I’d like to talk about.

I received an email from ExtraLunchMoney letting me know that they would no longer be paying Canadian / International models with Payoneer.  The only payout options for anyone outside of the US are now Paxum (a different e-wallet) and wire transfer (with a $40 fee).  The email was sent on June 29, and as of July 22 Payoneer will be gone.  Remember though, ExtraLunchMoney is on a one-week payout delay; after you reach the payout minimum, you have to wait a week for them to send it. They’ve really only given two weeks notice to anyone who needs to cash out with Payoneer before the change takes place.

We wanted to announce to our sellers that on July 22, 2015 we will no longer be offering Payoneer as a payout method for sellers. Due to policy changes with Payoneer they have decided to no longer support payments for ELM sellers and because of this we are no longer offering Payoneer as a payout option.

I’m very curious to see if these policy changes will also be affecting other adult sites, since most use Payoneer to pay international models.

So. The two choices for me to get paid. First let’s talk about Paxum.

To use Paxum, you have to sign up for an account, and they issue you a card that sites can load with your paycheques, and then you use the card to withdraw your money.  My problem with this is that I already have a Payoneer card for every other site I’m on, and of course pay fees for using this card. I’m not too keen on setting up a second card with another e-wallet service and paying fees there as well. My other big problem is that it will be yet another payout method for me to keep an eye on. Not every site pays out on the same day – some it’s every Wednesday, some it’s the 1st and 16th, some it’s the 15th and 30th, some it’s the 7th, some it’s hopefully-within-the-first-week-of-the-month-but-who-knows-just-wait-to-find-out-when-it-arrives.  With these sites paying out Canadian / International models through various methods as well (wire transfer, cheque, Payoneer, some even do PayPal but we are never going to talk about that again here because PayPal is the devil) it becomes very difficult to keep track of how much you should be receiving from which site and when, and where you should expect to see that money.

Setting up yet another e-wallet account to use just for ExtraLunchMoney is not at all something I’m interested in doing.

The only other option? Wire transfer to my bank account, at a fee of $40. Wire transfers are great because you get the money right away! Wire transfers are awful because you have to pay to be paid. You’re also, of course, being paid in USD; my bank hates this and charges me $15 per incoming wire transfer. If I were to choose this option, I’d be paying $55 every time I want to get my money off of ExtraLunchMoney.

The site already gets 35% of the sales I make, so losing another $55 of my income there doesn’t appeal to me in the slightest.

Obviously, the complaints I have about Paxum and wire transfers are my own complaints. If ExtraLunchMoney is an amazing site to you, and you don’t mind one or both of these options, that’s fantastic! Pick what works for you and go make your money. I, however, do not want to use either of these methods, therefore am left with no way to be paid.

As I’ve said in the past, if a site can’t pay you, don’t work to make money on the site! I could leave my page up, continue selling videos and photosets and worn items, taking requests for custom videos, texting buyers… I could continue to operate my profile there as usual, and just rack up a large payout balance, crossing my fingers that one day they’ll have a better option for Canadian girls. Or maybe I won’t be so pissed off about paying for a wire transfer if my payout balance is astronomically higher.  I could also delete all of my content and close my account.  I feel like I’ve worked hard to reach my current status on the site though, and my profile is pretty swanky compared to the average Seller’s page, so removing all of that work would be upsetting.
